Beginning as a small village called New Prospect Camp ground, Alpharetta was later renamed after the Greek words “Alpha” meaning first and “retta” meaning town. Now Alpharetta is one of the fastest growing cities in the South. With a low crime rate and close proximity to Atlanta, Alpharetta is a great place to live.
Alpharetta Realtors are more than just real estate agents. They are members of America’s largest trade association and are dedicated to helping you.

Alpharetta Realtors
If you are interested in Alpharetta realty, chances are you will come in contact with several real estate agents in the area. You may wonder how you can choose between them, as most will appear professional and competent. One sign to look for is if your real estate agent is also a Realtor. Sound confusing? Here’s an explanation.
While this separation might remind you of your high school geometry class (a square is always a rhombus, but a rhombus isn’t always a square) the title of Realtor is one way for real estate agents to show they are something above average. When a real estate agent carries the title of Realtor, it means they are a member of the National Association of Realtors, which boasts a membership of about 1.2 million members. When a real estate agent joins the NAR, they agree to abide by a strict code of ethics and practice as established in 1913 by the NAR. The preamble to this code states, “The term REALTOR® has come to connote competency, fairness, and high integrity resulting from adherence to a lofty ideal of moral conduct in business relations. No inducement of profit and no instruction from clients ever can justify departure from this ideal.” Each real estate agent who is a member of the National Association of Realtors takes pride in their membership.
The term Realtor is a registered trademark for the National Association of Realtors, and as such should always be capitalized. Agents who belong to the NAR should always write the term Realtor in capitol letters followed by the registered trademark symbol.
Of course, you should take more than a membership with the National Association of Realtors in consideration when deciding which real estate agent you will work with. Referrals will always be your best source of information, but as members of the NAR, Alpharetta Realtors are a great start in your search for an agent.
